Regarding the JKD Instructor Set (8 volume DVD set) … these DVD’s are a fantastic reference and learning resource! As a long-time practitioner of the martial arts, I have trained with a number of instructors and in a variety of styles. As such, I thought that I would “breeze right on through” the techniques and applications of this JKD series … “boy, was I wrong”! Unlike other videos and instructor seminars, Sifu Balicki approaches the art from a very methodical and “detailed” progression of techniques and concepts … “keep a pen and notebook handy”! The material moves quickly, but flows very well. Demonstration of the techniques is shown from a variety of angles and speeds, with a very obvious “eye for the camera”. Production and sound quality are both superb; without any need for distracting backgrounds or special effects.
